Bilinski returns with Trident and immediately secures the top-10

Roman Bilinski's comeback with Trident in the Formula Regional European by Alpine was immediately positive. After three months of inactivity due to a car accident in June, the Polish-born Englishman in Imola hit the top-10 in the first race of Round 7.
In Qualifying 1, Bilinski set the ninth fastest time in Group A, which meant P17 on the starting grid of Race 1. Despite the fact that the Imola’s track layout does not make overtaking easy, Bilinski quickly moved up to 12th place thanks to an excellent start. Making the most of a safety-car situation, Roman climbed to tenth and then finished ninth in the wake of the seventh and eighth place finishers. A good race from Roman that gives him full confidence for tomorrow when the second qualifying session and race 2 will take place.
Ruiqi Liu, 18th on the grid, finished 17th, keeping a steady pace while Nicola Lacorte, 25th after a difficult qualifying session, managed to make a good comeback to finish 19th.
Roman Bilinski: “First of all I’m very happy to be back racing after a while. A want to say a big thank you to Trident and to everyone who help me out during this period. Today qualifying was as much as I could expect after this long stop, feeling some pain in the car, but then we made a big step securing a brilliant P9 in Race 1! So once again, thank you very much to Trident”.
