F3 will be racing this weekend on the Bahrain International Circuit

The FIA Formula 3 Championship will be racing this weekend on the Bahrain International Circuit at Sakhir, which will host the second round of the series. Trident Motorsport wrapped up the season-opener in Melbourne in mid-March with a remarkable result, leading the Teams’ standings with a twenty-five-point advantage over its closest rival.
The Drivers' standings see Trident Motorsport's Rafael Câmara at the top. The nineteen-year-old Brazilian, after having secured pole position, took his first victory in the FIA Formula 3 Championship on the Albert Park track, after dominating the Feature Race. Good feedback in Australia also came from Noah Strømsted, who sealed the one-two for the Ossona-based team in the Main Race, and from Charlie Wurz who finished sixth after suffering a collision in the Sprint Race. Strømsted and Wurz lie third and tenth respectively in the championship standings.
After a three-week break, the FIA Formula 3 Championship now moves to the desert of Bahrain. The Sakhir circuit is a regular fixture in the series, which also hosted the recent tests in which the Trident Motorsport drivers were able to gain familiarity with both the track and the changing conditions of the track.
Giacomo Ricci, Team Manager, says: “The good start to the season must give us the confidence and determination to always do better. We have only taken the first step of a long and demanding season, in a championship that has a very high level of competitiveness. During the collective tests at the end of March, we had the opportunity to get to know the desert track with the new F.3 single-seaters, we collected a lot of data, but next weekend, with the points at stake, the real values will emerge. We have prepared for the trip to Sakhir with maximum focus, we know that a very challenging weekend awaits us, where the slightest mistake could be decisive”.
The engines of the FIA Formula 3 Championship single-seaters will start on Friday at 10:55 when the 45-minute free practice session is scheduled. Qualifying is scheduled for the same day, at 16:00. Saturday will be the turn of the Sprint Race, at 13:15. The Feature Race, which will conclude the weekend, will start on Sunday at 12:55. The track activity will be broadcast live on Sky Sport F.1. The times are expressed in local time, CET +1.
