Trident Motorsport grows with Leonardo Fornaroli in FIA Formula 3 Championship 2023
Trident Motorsport is proud to announce Leonardo Fornaroli as a new driver in its line-up for the 2023 FIA Formula 3 Championship. The eighteen year old Italian driver has signed for a second season with the Trident family. The team has seen the driver debut in the Formula Regional European Championship by Alpine. During the season, Fornaroli established himself as the Rookie of the Year and conquered the 8th position in the championship, demonstrating his great talent that led his management and Trident Motorsport to the decision to step-up to FIA Formula 3.
Fornaroli tested the single seater last September during FIA Formula 3 Post Season Tests at the Circuit of Andalucia in Jerez de la Frontera, where the young driver worked alongside the team’s technical staff and conquered the 8thbest track time.
The Italian Driver has made his debut on a single seater in 2020 in the Italian Formula 4 and during some appearances in the ADAC series. Last year, Leonardo conquered one victory, 7 podiums, 2 pole positions and 3 fastest laps in the same Italian category, where he concluded fifth. In 2021, the Emilian driver joined Trident Motorsport and the team will have Leonardo’s back in his debut in FIA Formula 3 Championship.
